The lions don't have that much money wrapped up in players because they have no big time players. There are decent Linebackers out and i think that was one of their main problems was run stopping. I just don't understand why they don't make a move even a offensive lineman there line was horrible yeah they picked one up in a trade but they got rid of bly cut pollard traded hall i mean u have to have some money PICK UP SOME PEOPLE!!!! Can anyone explain this too me?

Because the Lions are terrible. They've always been terrible, excluding the very few times they went to the playoffs (last time being around 15 years ago), and I think they've just given up.

if i'm not mistaken, Matt Millen is the GM...therefore the Lions aren't going to make any moves. Detroit really needs to figure that out. They've been rebuilding ever since Barry Sanders left.

Don't they have a lot of money tied up in that receiving corps of first round draft picks? I am not sure why they haven't made any moves, it is a little late now. Guess the Lions just enjoy fielding non-competitive team after non-competitive team.

no one wants to play for matt millen. face it. detroit isn't a big time attraction. you need to build your team throught the draft first then get free agents and millen hasn't been able to do that so why would older players looking to win a super bowl go to detroit. they wouldn't, unless you hold the super bowl there again.

I'm thinkin' the answer is William Clay Ford. They need Mike Illitch to buy them! Won't happen but that's what they need, a new owner.

because the Lions freakin suck and they are hopeless anybody that has an ounce of talent will disappear into nobody in detroit unless their name is barry
