Its possible. Country music fans would have a hard time naming 2 of the beatles, nevermind the songs.Hard to believe I know. Its true kids today have no clue what real good music is. They see these groups out there and it blows my mind how much they love them. All I can say is "Hey,give me an 80 thousand dollar synthesizer and 1 month alone and I can make a pretty cool rhythm(not sure if I can write a song). So these artists today are really just singers...........NOT musicians!

Sure! I know a couple of people that I had that same debate with. One of them idolizes The Clash and listens to reggae and dub, and another is a huge Hip hop and R&B/Pop fan. Both of them big music fans, and both of them know who The Beatles are, and know at least some of their catalog. But don't like them at all. I personally think that some people that belong to a certain group that listens to an specific genre of music and kind of close their ears to any other, even if is great stuff like The Beatles.

Ringo invented 1/2 & 1/4 beats that are still being used by bands today. They invented studio sound that was never heard before, but the techinque is still being used in studios. The first rock and roll band to use a sitar in the studio, first band to be awarded by the Queen of England. There are alot of "firsts" with the Beatles, they truely are the pioneers of modern rock music. I can't understand why anyone wouldn't like them, but to each his own.

I don't think anyone will ever better the Beatles. Sure, they weren't always singing in tune, and their lyrics were a wee bit cheesy (cool down, I'm perhaps the biggest fan ever), but there was that charisma that made them probably the most lovable band EVER.

Yes, I've met people who have no love for the Beatles. If you have no love for the Beatles, I HAVE NO LOVE FOR YOU!!

No. They will be playing Beatles music 500 years from now. All in just 9 short years! All genres. And only with 4 tracks recording. (mostly) It takes 36 tracks and tons of overdubbing now days to even get close. The best of all time.

Everyone's entitled to their own opinion.
I agree that the Beatles are one of the greatest bands ever, but it's really not a crime to hate them.

I don't like the Beatles either. I did, however, love John Lennon's solo stuff.
