No they just don't care. I still remember my grandfather telling me WWI was a mistake since the peace after-wards led to WWII but he was glad he went since the Germans were out of control and needed to be stopped (and his parents had just come to the US 22 years from Germany) He also said that most people do not realize what it takes to win a war and how once you are in it you need to go at it full force, not just for a short time and give up like we did in Vietnam. That war made him so angry because he said we should of won it if the military was not hamstrung by Congress and here we go again - another Congress who wants to run and hide from a problem.

Yes libs know that it could maybe get worse if US troops leave Iraq but Saudi Arabia, Iran & Syria have said that they don't want to get involved in an Iraqi civil war. They might supply arms or give financial help to the iraqi Sunnis & Iraqi Shiite (like they are doing right now) but that's probably as far as they will go. They don't want a Mideast regional civil war either. And leaving US troops in a stalemate in Iraq doesn't solve anything. If the Iraqis can contain their civil war to just Iraq they can finally fight this thing out and end the war fairly quickly because the Iraqi Shiites outnumber the Iraqi Sunnis 5 to 1. And they'll kill all the Sunni terrorists in Iraq like Al Qaeda.

What you talkin bout Willis? it will get worse if we stay or if we go. Iraq is now a focal point for conflicting sects of Islam Sunni vs Shite Iran is Shite and Saudis are Sunni but we have made this mess worse and we won't solve it by staying, they are still nations that share borders they will work with each other in their own best interest. our presence together with our military power are shifting power away from natural order that has existed and maintained relative peace for several years.

Forget whether or not "libs" realize that Iraq could get worse ... it's the neo-cons who got us into this war (with the promise that it would last less than a year) who are apparently clueless.

Why don't you go to your local recruiting office? I'm sure the military could use your valuable insight.

"Media-declared civil war"!!! What a joke.

all we need is Bush to stop stirring the damn pot!

300 terror attacks in 2004. 4000 terror attacks in 2006.
the plan is working. Take a country that isn't a terror threat and turn it into one.

Kinda makes you long for a stable maniac like Sadaam, don't it?

In the realm of pointless questions, you must be in the top 10. Everyone knows it will get worst. I'm a liberal and I know that. What is the point of your question? To show that liberals are on top of things? Yes.

What does this have to do with liberals? The civil war is real. Don't patronize thousands of innocent civilians that have already lost their lives.

What...and you want our troops in the middle of that? Bring them home to protect America. Let the rest of the world fight it out among themselves.

its isn't going to get much worse than it really is now. And we tried our best, its high time the iraq officials stepped it up a notch and protect their country instead of relying solely on us Americans. Its not our fight anymore, its their, let them solve their problems.
