I see Latin acting/singing awards shows and black acting/singing awards shows and no one really cares. But I just know in my heart that if anyone ever had the balls and lacked enough brains to put on a white singing/acting awards shows all kinds of people would throw hissy fits like it was an attack on all other races. So the question is why does America love double standards?
No I'm not racist, I have friends of all kinds of ethnicities and skin tones so don't even try that copout answer.

I don't like that first argument really. An eye for an eye makes eveyone blind. The good white people (most of us) have been trying to make up for our ancestors for a long time, and I think it's time for real equality, not this shallow rickety "We won't point it out if you don't." Double standard. And I realize you don't necesarily espouse that "logic" don't worry.

Oh no, I don't care that much either. I just find it kind of amusing, don't take me the wrong way, I don't even watch awards shows hahaha

You're argument might work puzzlite, but the thing is I can't name very many of any colored actresses lol. And I see what you're saying, the most valid point I've heard for the argument. Not for music though, the only music I hear everywhere is by black rappers (and ugh I can't stand rap) and there's so much of it and it's so popular that if it's not good enough to win normal awards apparently it's just not good enough.
