I am going to assume you mean mystery snails? Lots of food is the main priority, if they are not well fed, they will not breed. They like veggies and any food you feed your fish. You need to have a good cover on the tank because they will crawl out onto the floor and die looking for a place to lay their eggs.

Mystery snails lay their eggs (a pinkish mass) above the water line so you cannot fill up the tank to the top frame with water. Leave about 2-3" between the top of the lid and the water line. The lid will also keep the humidity high. You need this humidity to keep the eggs moist, if they dry out, they will not hatch. High water temp (80-82 degrees) is necessary to keep the humidity up also.

Any other snail, just feed well and they will get busy on their own. If you have Maylasian trumpet snails (MTS), they are livebearers, you will suddenly realize you have hundreds in the tank. They burrow down in the sand or gravel and you don't see them until there are too many. Ramshorn and pond snails lay eggs underwater attached to anything. You will see small masses of jelly with little white specks in it. Those are the babies. They will get out of hand quickly also.

Mystery snails are easy to control, if you have too many, just remove the egg mass and discard it before they hatch.

Snails will reproduce faster than you may think. Just get 2 or 3 and chances are you will have a male and female and more snails than you would really care to have.

Just any normal tank. They breed faster than rabbits whether you want them to or not. We had to put a crayfish in the tank with them just to trim down their population.
