It helps if you squat first. Insert the tampon into your vagina by the bumps on the tampon you are to grip it by until your fingers touch yourself. Then push in on the applicator, and pull the entire plastic/cardboard out. If it hurts, you've done it wrong and you should take it out and try it again.

Also, I do not recommend practicing getting it in when you're not on your period. It hurts so much trying to get it out. Also, use the smallest absorbancy that you can. Otherwise, Toxic Shock Syndrome, which is fatal, could kick in.

Ok, first of all buy tampons with applicators. Make sure you buy the ones that fit with your flow-maybe even try small ones first anyway. Next, choose a time when your not in a rush or theres nobody knocking on the bathroom door or anything, and RELAX. Most packs of tampons will have instructions with a diagram to show you what to do. Have a read of this and put it down somewhere you can see it. When I first tried tampons I used to stand in front of the toilet and lift one leg up to rest on the toilet seat. Take a tampon and hold it between your thumb and third finger so that your index finger is free to push the end of the applicator in. With your other hand, hold open the entrance to your vagina. Insert the applicator inside you, but dont push it straight upwards-aim towards the bottom of your back in a diagonal direction. Push it in so that the first part of the applicator is in. Do it slowly and aim how I told you and it should go in quite easily. If you're a virgin your hymen may not be broken yet, so it may hurt a bit at first, but keep trying and it'll be ok in the end. Once the applicator is half in, push the second half of it in with your index finger-this pushes the tampon up inside you. A tampon cannot get lost in you-there is nowhere for it to go, so dont worry that you're pushing it in to far. In fact, the further the better. If you dont push it in far enough it wont feel right. Then take out the applicator and voila! If you can really feel the tampon inside you then you probably havent inserted it properly. It may not be in far enough. It will take a few tries but keep trying because it'll work in the end. I was 14 when I first tried and I used regular size. It hurt a little when I removed the first few because I presume my hymen wasnt properly broken, but I kept trying and after a few days I was used to them. They really are worth the perseverence because you dont have that nasty wet feeling down below and theres less mess. I would make sure that you change them often eneough though-at least every 8 hours if not less, so that you dont get an infection which can be dangerous. Also, until you find the right absorbancy for you maybe wear a pantyliner too in case you have a little bit of a leak

You cant miss! All the instuctions should have come in the box.
~How old are you? If this is your first time, you may feel very very uncomfortable.

~*~ Put it where it goes in, and push it inside to the grooves on the applicator. Then with your thumb, press the smaller end of the applicator inside the larger part, them pull the larger part out again.
Thats it!
Dont wear it for more than 4 hours. Wash your hands really well each time after.

I would suggest using a mirror while you are doing it so you can see the opening. Also since this is the first time you are using tampons I would suggest a plastic applicator. They slide in easier and are more comfortable compared to cardboard. They will come with illustrated instructions on how to use them. good luck!

don't u have a female figure in ur life that can help u? If not I suggest u take a hand held mirror and go into the bathroom and examine ur self between ur legs. U have an opening and upon examnation u will see there is only one place it can go. You might feel a little discomfort but nothing u can't handle.
