With disability vans being so expensive I can understand your problem. If you watch your local "penny saver" type ads the can be found there from time to time. Also, you might place a "wanted" ad there too. There may be someone local who can help you out. Another possibility is trading your car for a reasonable conventional van and purchasing a set of W/C ramps from ebay (they are usually much cheaper there) That way you'd also have the ramps for those places where she needs to roll in that doesn't have decent W/C access. Good Luck & God Bless

I'm sorry to hear about your situation. I wish all of you a speedy recovery. Could you contact some state agency or United Way. I would think there may some charitable organization that would at least loan you a van until you are better able to buy one. Could you get help from your pastor or your church? Good luck, my prayers are with you.

Your local charitable organizations occasionally become aware of used vans with accessability equipment. The wait list is usually long. Call some of them and let them know of your need.

Good Luck!

I have a friend who is disabled. He and my husband were talking and this subject actually came up. He said that the government funded a lot of his needs. Go to a local Social Security office and see what they can do to help you.
