isn't this the most dishonest political action ever? They get credit for removing the troops, but not enough time passes before elections to see Iraq descend into chaos.

Excuse me, don't you think Iraq "descended into chaos when we got there."
Most dems would like to get us out of Iraq by summer 07, we never should have gone there to begin with, and we are accomplishing nothing except killing and wounding our own young people, killing many more innocent Iraquis and spending billions of dollars creating chaos.

If you look at polls from last fall, one of the main issues that cause the change of leadership in Congress was the overwhelming attitude of the American people that our current course in Iraq is a mistake.

So, if the current Congress amends their Authorization for the Use of Military Force, it would be reacting to the direct preferences of its constituents. For once, Congress would be doing what the American people told it to do.

And since the House of Representatives is re-elected in full every two years, your statement would equally apply to every single legislative action taken that has a 1-2 year time frame. Which makes it a meaningless argument.

Unless of course, you think they should require full withdrawal within the next six months, so there would be at least a year for Iraq to do whatever its going to do before the next election. That would solve your "not enough time" issue.

Wake up !! Our bravest men & women are sitting ducks right now. Parts of Iraq have alrady descended into chaos. Did you not see where approx. 300 Al-Quaida stormed a prison and freed approx. 140 insurgents? They can expect more of the same. We first f^k'd up by not sealing the borders. While our backs have been turned to Afgahnistan, terrorist have re-built their camps and strengh. We need to sh*t or get off the pot!

i do now no longer listen Obama blaming Bush very many cases, besides the very undeniable truth that it truly is reality that he inherited a devastated economic gadget from him. He also inherited 2 wars, one in each and each of it truly is easily ineffective. those are the data. Bush had little to blame Clinton for. Clinton left us with a good looking good economic gadget, after he also inherited an economic mess from Bush's father. those are data. the perfect 2 Republican presidents left place of work with a large determination that a Democrat had to clean up. the perfect 2 Republican presidents had approval rankings round 30% or a lot less. those are data.

Now it's dishonest to have the process of democracy decide? That's like saying the founders were crooks for coming up with the idea in the first place.

Or you could look at it like this. The Republicans failed in their offensive into Iraq totally. They had 5+ years and failed miserably. Fortunately the Dems decided to pull us out and stop throwing money into the endless pit.

well..since it's already pretty much in a state of chaos, i don't see what the difference would be...the repubs just want to keep doing what we have been doing..which is working very well isn't it? HA!

as for dishonest, what about Bush doctoring intelligence and then lying to the American people AND congress about it?
