There are different types on sonnets, right? Petrarchan and Shakespearean..etc. Well I had to choose one. It's Shakespeare.

I saw him long ago
He had then attempted to present himself a man
But I could see he didn't know;
To think that I was once a fan
Gave me a sense of curiousity within
Soon I realized he had to leave
All the while, I hope my kin,
Will soon make me believe
he is completely developed and mature;
Showing that a man is what he had intended to be
This will happen someday though I'm sure
In the end we'll see
A natural born young,
And a man is what he has become.

And, I was wondering if it is correctly written, I haven't been at school(sick) and I didn't get all of the sheets needed. Thanks! and, if there are any tips, please help me! I only did this in 30 min...so it's not great.

really great, i know i could barely do that..well as long as it doesn't have to be exactly like a shakespeare writing, then you did great!, well to me!..I understand that, my sister was like that, until she got pregnant, well that isn't such a good example, but you have to care for a baby before yourself....

You got the rhyme scheme correct, but to be considered a Shakespearean sonnet, it technically should be in iambic pentameter, with each rhyming word landing on the fifth beat.

Yeah, its correct as for as rhyming goes, but if you want to write a real sonnet each line in your poem has to have 10 syllables. Iambic pentameter, you know? That's how all of Shakespeare poems are written.
