I really want to get a new hair style but I am worried about my bangs when I cut them that they will make my acne bad?

Is it true? and What should I do?

The oil that occurs naturally on your scalp accumulates mostly around your roots (you'll notice if you don't wash your hair for a couple of days). Since your bangs are only a few inches long, the oil will saturate them more quickly, and if you don't wash your hair at least every other day, you could have problems with the scalp oil causing breakouts on your forehead. As long as you wash your hair frequently enough or vigilantly wash your face (with special attention to your hairline-area) you shouldn't have a problem.

As a general rule, bangs touching your face might make you break out more, but not in every case. When I was your age, acne was much more of a mystery than it is now.

For some people, yes your bangs, what you eat like chocolate, etc... might be a factor. But then maybe not.

I would cleanse it as has been suggested elsewhere here, and use Proactive, although it doesn't work for everyone; or other acne treatments that work for you.

I would pull your bangs back when you're at home, sleeping etc.. when no one sees you.

I ALWAYS covered my acne with makeup when I was out of the house (checking with the experters as to the type to use) and it never made it worse. I have always had bangs. I just made sure I did all the right things when I was at home, in my room, while I slept etc...

My husband took the drug Acutaine when he was young and they've found out bad things about that.

Bottom line, keep your skin clean and give it a try.

NATURAL ACNE PROTOCOL
1/ Never, ever touch your face.
2/ Use 3 facecloths to wash your face, one to soap on, one to soap off with very hot water, one to rinse off with ice cold water, in that order, once a day.
3/ If you are under 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A once a day with a full meal
4/ If you are over 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A twice a day with a full meal.
Do not get pregnant while taking vitamin A. Do not take any more, like Accutane, it will stop you growing.
5/ Never, ever. pick, squeeze or pop your spot. Read number 1 again.
6/ Do this for 90 days.
7/ Invest in a brand new pillow and 2 new or more pillow cases to double bag' your pillow. HOT wash every couple of days.

A bit of advice given to me as a teenager, a bit of science as I am studying allergic reactions and vitamin A is a part of that. A bit of research: I sat in a lecture at the back and watched the acne prone pick at their faces, those with the worse acne touched their faces 32 times in an hour, the clearest complexions didn't touch their faces even once. I have circumstantial evidence that acne is the result of dermatophyte transfer from hands to face...where it does not get washed off and is well fed by hormones, sweat a
nd oil...just a hypothesis... But it would explain why vitamin A is so effective as vitamin causes skin to remove dermatophytes.

The secret is never to touch the spots

That is all a myth. Cutting your bangs will not make your acne any worse or better. That is just a myth. However, if you are worried about the problem of acne, use ProActiv. It's #1 dermatologist approved. You know why? Because Lindsey Lohan, Kelly Clarkson, Jessica Simpson, and even Diddy uses it! It's a great way to eliminate acne. Don't worry about your bangs, their find.

Its possible. The hair laying on the forehead contains oils. Which in turn can clog the forehead pores. If you really want a cut that hangs on your forehead. I suggest pulling your bangs up away from your face at night. Washing your hair daily, and washing your face at night before bed.

I think it makes sense to cut your bangs or have them tie-up; away from your face. This is to prevent your acne from getting worst due to unclean hair particles.

no acne has nothing to do with if your hair is in your face or not it is all about the fine balance of hormones we have just wash face 2 times a day and you should be fine!

you should check other answers on yahooanswers before you ask I found this!

yes it would because of the oils from your hair will get in your pores and infect them which will make them worser. you better cut your bangs off or leave them where it is
