I agree with the first answer and extend it with the fact that I found a glue gun to be a basic item on which to build other items - for example, when I wanted to make and dispense a small stream of wax for casting, I first took a glue gun, cast wax to fit inside and used a dimmer to control the temp. Later when the hole was too small and I didn't want to drill mine out, I found one of my soldering irons that held the tip with a set screw (instead of screwing on like many do) and made from hobby thin wall brass tubing and solid rod a wax dispenser: the tubing of the right ID had a short length of solid rod of a size to fit in the soldering iron silver soldered to the out side at an angle (after shaping the end.) The soldering iron was plugged into a dimmer in a box, that heated the rod, the hot rod heated the tube and the wax melted in the tube. Reduced sizes of tubing telescoped into the end controlled the dispense size. Handle with care.
