They'd only have to go 19-3 the rest of the way which seems easy to do right now since they've won 16 straight.

I think it's fairly possible for them

22 games left, they would have to win 19 of them.

If they were able to make 2-3 10+ games winning streak, why couldn't they continue in that way?

They lost against Chicago, Detroit, Golden States, Houston, LA Clippers, San Antonio, Utah and Washington earlier this season.

Out of 22 games left, they only have 5 against .600+ teams.

If they play like they're playing right now and are able to win against Detroit, San Antonio, Phoenix and Utah, they might have a chance at the record.

I really think they might. It is unbelivable the kind of winning (and losing) streaks there have been this year. Phoenix and Dallas have had amazing streaks which is hard to believe if you look at how their first 8 games went. San Antonio is on quite a steak right now as well. There are 6 tough games ahead as I see it. On the road against Detroit, Phoenix, Lakers, and home games against Phoenix, Utah, and San Antonio. No really big wins in this latest win streak so I see them losing at least 2 of those 6. They would need to win 15 of the other 16 games and will be playing team fighting to get into the playoffs. Meanwhile they basically are waiting for the season to end. I predict 69 wins.

After the first four games of the season, the Mavs won 51 of 56....about 90 percent. If they stay on this 90-percent pace, they'll get there. However, I think they might start losing focus in the last few games, after the top seed is locked up. They might get to 70, but it's a little unlikely.

seems like you know ur stuff jesse (lol)

if youre asking if they CAN, they could probably tie the record if they wanted to. but the WONT because going after a record like that is stupid because theyde wear themselves out and probably do terrible in the playoffs, which is the only time they need to worry about. but the fact is, they should just take it easy once they secure home-court advantage, so if they wanna play smart, they PROBABLY wont get to 70.

but look on the bright side mavs fans, there isnt a god dam thing wrong with 68-69 lol

This is the year to do it, they are on a roll, breaking more records than any team in Mavericks history. Have a couple of rough games coming up, go Mavs Go.

Maybe. I think this year for the Mavs has a shot, but they have a hard schedule so that would pressure them. Only the Lakers and Suns can stop them, let me rephrase that slow them down.

Nope. They have a tough schedule for the end of the season. Hopefully, they will try to save some of their starters energy so that they can actually win in the playoffs and Finals, but they probably will be dumb, try way too hard to win 70 games, and then have Dirk get injured, and there goes their season.

I would say they have a 85% chance of getting 70 wins there remaining schedule is:
Lakers
Warriors
Suns
Celtics
Pistons
Knicks
Cavs
Celtics
Hawks
Hornets
Bucks
Knicks

I only think that the suns and pistons have a chance of beating them because the lakers have oden out and kobe cant do it all. They have celtics twice(the worst team in league)have the struggling knicks twice. So there schedule is made for them to win 70 plus games this year. what a feat that would be.

yes because after the first four games of the season (all losses) they went 51-5. all they need to do is go 19-3, which shouldnt be too hard, and they might even match the bulls' 72-10 game season (might).
