I am just starting out as a comic collector, and I need to know if anyone has comics they will give, sale at a reasonable price, or tell me a good place to buy from.

Half Priced Books, used bookstores, or check out the bargain bin at your local comic book store. You can usually get tons of stuff for less than a dollar each. Also, check local yard sales and garage sales as well as classified ads. There's also Ebay, but the postage can be a killer. Still, I've won comics on ebay for about a quarter per issue, and even with the postage it was only about 40 cents per issue. You just have to group your purchases well so you can get big lots shipped from the same seller and save on postage. You can also buy used graphic novels to catch up on storylines.

half price books is good. Ebay will kill you on shipping, for some reason I highly doubt it costs $5 to ship a comic. At my store I get 20% on all comics I preorder which saves me a ton of money.
