Liberal vision for America: Read the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Authored by Liberals.

I, as a liberal, envision a country that puts education and it's own economy first before foreign affairs. I want to see us attack the countries that are a threat such as Iran and Afghanistan. I want to see us take out the Taliban, Al Qaeda, and every other organization that hates us harshly. I want to see us take away the social programs like welfare for anyone that isn't working or actively (with proof) trying to find a job. I think all people in the system with 2 kids or more that aren't married need to have their tubes tied until marriage or they have a job for 12 months. I also feel that tuiion to public Universities should be regulated and death senteces be much shorter. I would put many resources into us finding an alternative fuel source. Gangs would have special camps to have to go to that arethe most harsh in the world. The prisons wouldn't have televisions or anything in the cells. Only education driven programs to be able to stay in the nice cells and if they commit any crimes behid prison walls they will be in the hot box.

Mr. Spock, your question is highly illogical as the Liberals have no coherent vision. They just hop.... literally hop, from one feel good idea to another as a low class trollop jumps from one bed to another.

While your supremely logical Vulcan race envisioned Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations, the exasperatingly dim witted Liberals have only some vague, shadowy outline of a deathly homogeneous society in which everything is alike. Everyone is approximately equal, everything is provided (on the meager level that Socialism can provide), whether or not it is merited or deserved.

The Liberals want "free" health care, but don't realize that the level of service would always be abysmal and the cost would be horrific. Look at the veterans' hospitals, Walter Reid, etc.

The Liberals want free University education, which just means that a bunch of mentally lazy punks who couldn't even cut it in High School will now require that formerly erudite bastions of higher learning will have to teach dumbed-down classes, just to keep the rif-raff from failing in droves. (For one semester, I roomed with such a guy; he got four F's and a D .... the D was in a class called "women's bodies". No, I'm not joking).

Every time I think of the foggy, muddled Liberal "vision" of America, I can hear the refrain from David Bowie's song echoing in my mind, "This is not America, no..."

Their vision for America, I am sure, is one of pastoral utopia.
The effects of their policies, however will produce quite another America.
Liberals are not to be equated with Democrats, and Conservatives are not to be mistaken for Republicans.

The Dem and Reps are so close in their agendas as to be nearly indistinguishable: acquiring and keeping power.
In my definition, most Dems and Reps are liberals, that is they are for passing legislation for more government control over our lives. More government control is seen by liberals as a solution to many of life's woes. In fact, in most cases, it is just the opposite.

Everybody gets a fair chance at realizing the American dream.

Which is much different from saying everybody gets handouts for doing nothing which is what the repubs will say the demo vision is.

An America that preserves the Constitution, limits Executive power, and does not spend tax dollars in stupid, useless ways.

Labor Unions to take control of corporate American driving up prices so everyone can go bankrupt.

Free health care, which the lobbyists will never allow to happen ever ever ever.

Special favor to their lobbyists who have been paying them under the table such grand amounts that the Dems would sell out their country.

The Liberal Agenda:

For each individual to reach their fullest potential as a human being.

For each person to have the largest available options in developing themselves.

For each person to be respected for who they are.

For those who can excel, to excel.

For all of us to live in peace and prosperity until the end of time.

Amen.
