the correct use - in a sentence - for the first one is "I am "in bed".
For your second part: "I am on 'my' (or 'the') bed".
You can't use "on bed" in isolation: as in "I am on bed"...that's just wrong. Can't tell you exactly why, but it is....

it depends if you sleeping your getting into the bed but you could also be on the bed like jumping on the bed it depends how you use it

if you're talking about a person who is in bed, as in sleeping or getting ready to sleep, then "in bed" would be used

I t really only matter which way u like better. But My parents would really say on the bed, THINK my teacher too. REALLY WHICH WAY DO U THINK IT'S COMFORTABLE.

Depends on the useage... both can be correct.
For me personally... the bed, the shower, the kitchen table.... where ever is convenient! ;-)
