well u didnt' give us too much info did ya lol..well if its for a circle...
*area of circle=pi(radius)squared.
*so on a sheet of paper write the equation: pi(r)squared=25,000,000
*so u do the opposite of each.
*do 25,000,000 divided by pi.
*with that answer you find the square root of it.
*that answer is your RADIUS
*now. do u agree that a radius is 2X the diameter?
~final step~
*with ur answer times it by 2.

there u go!n_n*

If you have a dioameter, you are talking about a circle.

A (circle) = pi x r^2
A = 25 x 10^6 miles
r^2 = 25 x 10^6 / pi
take the square root to find r, the radius of the circle in miles

calculate 2 x r for the diameter of the circle in miles

What you have asked doesn't make any sense. You've given us an area, but you don't say what shape you are talking about. We can't find the diameter unless we know the shape.

A disk with that area would have a different diameter than a square with the same area.

Assuming you are talking about a disc, then the area = Pi times the radius squared. So divide the area (25,000,000) by Pi, then take the square root to get the radius. Finally, multiply it by 2 to get the diameter.

I assume that you have a circle with an area of 25 million square miles, and you want to find the diameter of this circle.

Area of a circle = pi x radius squared

The radius is = to the diameter D divided by2

Area = pi x (D/2) squared

Area = pi x D squared/4

Area/pi = D squared/4

Area x 4/pi = D squared

D= square root of Area x 4/pi

D= square root of 25,000,000 x 4/pi

D = square root of 25,000,000 x 1.27324

D= Square root of 31,830,989

D= 5,641.90 miles

If you are referring to a 25 million square mile circle you would use the formula a=πr^2.
Therefore the diameter would be
2√(a/π) where a=25,000,000

Presumably a circle, so the formula is pi * r^2 = area.

Insert the figures you know (pi and area).

Reduce the formula.

Find square root of resultant figure.

Double your last answer, you now have diametre.
