If you are referring to a processor for computers, the difference is HUGE.
220 MB = 220,000
60Gb = 60,000,000,000
A computer running a 220MB processor would seem like a turtle compared to the 60GB!! No make that a SNAIL!

Reading between the lines, I guess that you are looking at your screen as you switch your computer on.
222mb is probably the amount of RAM, temporary memory, you have available once your video card has borrowed some.
I guess you have 256Mb RAM chip and a 32Mb shared memory video card installed.
Ram is used whilst the computer is running, as moving data into and out of RAM is much faster than using the hard drive. Stuff stored in RAM is removed when the power is switched off, hence its use for temporary storage.
60Gb would be the capacity of your hard drive, this is where your programs and data are stored. This holds the data and programs even when the machine is switched off.
I hope this helps.

David

I'd go with David P, you're probably looking at figures in two different contexts.
(For the mathematical fanatics, 60gb is approximately 276.76 times 222mb - doubt if it's relevant though!)

222MB = 222,000 Bytes, 60GB = 60,000,000 Bytes in decimal (X10) terms used in marketing.
To get accurate numbers:
In binary (0's and 1's) 222X1024 = you can do the math.
In binary (0's and 1's) 60,000X1024 = you can do the math.

About the same as the amount of words in a newspaper compared to the amount of words in a library.
