I was told today there are 28 states in the U.S. where you can get a ticket for not wearing shoes while driving. Just wanted to know if it was truth or fiction. I live in Florida and only wear them when I am AT work. I put them on when I get there and take them off when I leave.

No it's not against the law anywhere! Please see the articles in the source; first one listing all the US states and a few other countries, second an article from just last week, an Australian newspaper reporting on several types of unsafe footwear.

I live in Minnesota and from my knowledge it is illegal to drive without shoes here. It is also illegal to have too many leaves on your lawn where I live and if you don't rake you get a fine. Stupid in my opinion.

I have heard that it is in CA, but I have never heard of anyone getting a ticket.

I would be in trouble if they enforced this one.
