NO.

We could have been just as independent from oil under clinton, bush 1&2, anyone for that matter.

NO POLITICIAN will ever stand up against oil. LEFT or RIGHT. Name one who has....none.

Oh, they will once they are out of office...but not before or during.

Did you hear about the couple in Illinois...the state is chasing them for tax evasion for NOT using gas...they have been using vegie oil in the VW...(link below).

I doubt very seriously that we would be independant from Middle Eastern oil. There are lots of politics involved with oil, although there is an engine now that has been invented that burns the hydrogen out of water (I seen this on the news, a guy went 100 miles and used 4 oz. of water), I doubt very seriously that it'll ever come into production.
The elections are a joke. In my opinion, it does us no good to even vote as the elections are dependant upon the electorial college. If they were dependant upon the popular vote, then Gore would have won. I'm sure the writers of our constitution (which it seems we don't use anymore) are turning over in their graves.

No, I don't wonder why the elections were "stolen" because they weren't. Gore lost.. deal with it.

And FYI Gore talks a lot.. but he doesn't act. His personal home energy usage is TWENTY times the national average.. and yet you sheep try to hold him up as some example.

The guy was looking for another 15 minutes of fame after losing his presidential bid.. nothing more.

It would have changed nothing with foreign oil , we would be censored by now though , or did we forget about the PMRC ...you know tipper's little old organization , that wants the government to decide what is appropriate for us to listen to on the air , and in our homes ...., I don't like a lot of music , etc out there either , but I just don't buy it ...it is not the governments place to decide what is appropriate and not appropriate for us to listen to or watch ...so even if there is solid evidence to prove the elections were stolen , it gives me another reason to applaud Bush .....

Gore did win in 2000 and we're still dependent on foreign oil.

Apparently turntable wasn't paying attention to Washington' state's 2004 gubernatorial election. The Republicans demanded three recounts and were still whining fraud when their candidate lost.

I live in Florida were the votes were messed up. I firmly believe the votes were miscalulated. Anyway, yes, we would really be less dependent on foreign oil if Gore was president

of course not, what would he have done...he's a democrat all they do is complain and whine about things...look how much they are complaining now...look how many complained, like you, about 2000 verse how many republicans complained last year...Dem's are sore losers and winners...and they don't change anything except for the worse...good intentions...bad ideas...
