Well obviously they have plans for you, but you can't see that... so continue your course of non-learning, and see where that leads to... I'm thinking employment somewhere else.

If you refuse to be cross trained and refuse to learn anything new they will probably not want to keep you. You are closing the door for yourself to learning more and making your self more valuable to your company and employer so think carefully. It never hurts to learn more and increase the skills you need to stay competitive in the job market.

Unfortunately, your company probably won't have any use for you if you refuse to train in more than one position. Why not give it a shot--you might wind up liking the new job better than your present one :)

So you want them to send you to the unemployment office ?
If you don't want to learn, then you don't want the job , soooo , just hang . . .
They will get the idea , and you will get to go hunting for a new job !
