My dad has a flat panel display for his computer and he wanted to clean it. It is dirty and it has water stains on it. What can he use to clean it? It is a matte display. My glossy display is easy, a damp cloth and it's good to go.

A Damp Cloth is the best and make sure the material is lint free

Do NOT use any Window cleaning product, like Windex, if it contains ammonia. It will damage the coating on the LCD monitor!!!

Go to the Monitor Manufacturer's web site and see if they have cleaning instructions. If not, turn off the monitor and barely dampen a paper towel with eye glass cleaner (isopropol alcohol) and gently wipe the entire screen horizontally. Repeat vertically.

When completely evaporated, you can turn it back on.
