I'm not looking at anything to theoretical, but really a description of the anti-women's thought that pervades society, and yes I mean the US today. I'd like to know more about feminism in relation to the more insidious problems women face today.

You can read some really offensive material about many things, including woman and old people, at http://www.thebestpageintheuniverse.com
(unfortunately, the link does not work right now, maybe check again later).

or you can buy the book "The Alphabet of Manliness" by Maddox.

They both contain offensive material.

- a feminist history, from the earliest magazines to the Tiptree Award

Justine Larbalestier: Daughters of Earth
Feminist Science Fiction in the Twentieth Century

Ursula K. Le Guin: Dancing at the Edge of the World*
Thoughts on Words, Women, Places

Mary Nash: Defying Male Civilization

"Backlash: The Undeclared War Against American Women" by Susan Faludi is about how when women make strides in society, an anti-feminist backlash occurs in society, and the various ways this plays out. Very, very interesting.

"Misogyny: The World's Oldest Prejudice" by Jack Holland

And someone else mentioned bell hooks, "Feminism is for Everybody."

I highly recommend "Feminism is For Everybody" by Bell Hooks. It is easy to read, covers a wide variety of issues facing all genders and how they are inter-related and talks about what it means to be feminist and the different groups that have emerged out of the interpretations. Best of all it is a small book (1oo-ish pages!) really a perfect introductory book to feminism. If you'd like to read more, here is a good summary I found:

I hope this helps you.

A very interesting and highly readable discussion of women's sexuality in terms of feminism is "Female Chauvinist Pigs: Women and the Rise of Raunch Culture" by Ariel Levy. I found it intriguing, even if I didn't agree with all of it.

To me, feminists are feminazis! They do nothing good for women. They are the most hypocrital women on the face of the earth. They are for everything immoral and against everything moral. They have weaseled their way into the Girl Scouts of America and now the GSA's pledge does NOT acknowledge God anymore. The Boy Scouts didn't bow down to political correctness and haven't changed their policies for the biggest babies, the feminazis.

The feminazis do NOT speak for me and any woman that I know!!!!!!!! I despise their ways! They have no qualms about killing innocent babies! They are seeking the destruction of marriage!

Let's take a look at pedophiles. Ok, we have older men that have sex with teenage girls. What happens to them? They get their as*ses thrown in prison. We have older women that have sex with young teen boys. What happens to them? A freaking slap on the hand with a f***ing wet noodle. Now, here is my problem. What is the difference??? NONE. N.O.W. (it should read N.O.F.W. (National organization of feminazi women)). The NOFW has been crying equality for YEARS, where the hell is the equality when it comes to women pedophiles?? There is none. It so one sided it is sickening and appalling and I don't blame men for having anger towards some women. The feminazis are just men haters and hate anything moral and ethic. The only thing good that came from them was our voting rights. In today’s day and age, the corruption in politics and in men and women, I cannot trust just a man's judgment when it comes to electing officials to rule. Now, I'm not saying all men. I think men have gotten a raw deal for many years because of the feminists. I would gladly give up my right to vote if every man was honest, high morals, loved God fully and there was no abuse (in some cases). Now, this brings me to another issue. There are women that abuse men. Yet people don't want to acknowledge that. So, what has the feminazis done for society? Hmmmm, kill babies, treat men like crap, deny God, and ruin the marriage issue. They have also brought morality down in women. Think about it. Women scantily clad walking around. I have to explain to my 6 yr old daughter why a woman is dressed a certain way. Basically like a tramp. It's not ok to have your breasts halfway exposed. It's not okay to wear shorts where half of someone’s as*s hangs out. Oh wait; it's their right, right? Well, according to the feminazis you're right. But according to many God loving, good American women, it's appalling and women should be ashamed.

I saw a movie and was disgusted with it. The ending put a sick feeling in my stomach. The Wickerman is the perfect feminazis movie. I spoke with two young workers at a video store and that movie made them mad. Sadly, they were shocked as to my reaction to it. I want men to realize that there are more women out there that hate feminism to the very core.

N.O.F.W or N.O.W., is an evil entity and I hope they one day they will no longer be.

I do have to edit one thing I said. When I mentioned abuse, I said in some cases. What I meant was not all men are abusers.

Your best bet is to read Susan Faludi's Backlash. I consider it the definitive text on anti-feminism.

Then, after you have finished all the suggested reading, read Camille Paglia for balance.
