i went on it a few months ago to lighten and shorten my periods and it hasnt gotten any lighter im still going through a super plus tampon per hour an i effing hate it ....i got blood ALL over my matress and AHH so annoying...i know i should contact a doctor...but does anyone have any idea what could be wrong?? ive had a ultrasound and tons of blood tests that showed nothing

The lighter periods do not happen right away. It can take between 6 to 10 months for your periods to lighten on the pill.

You can either give it more time or ask your doctor to put you on a different pill. You may need a different strength.

there is a procedure that you can have that should lighten your periods, but only if you do not want to have more children. It's an out patient procedure and you can usually go to work in a day or so.

Talk to your doctor.

Stress can increase the pain and flow of your period. Excessive weight also contributes. Focus on being healthy.

You just have a heavy flow. The pill cant change the amount of flow, it can only help regulate the amount of days.
~HOWEVER~ Give it a few more months, because a there are some woman who do notice an increase in the amount of flow!

There are many different types of pills with different combinations and levels of hormones. Withe the help of your doctor you need to experiment to see which one is right for you.
