My company "blocks" access to external e-mail services such as G-mail and Yahoo mail. How can I "get around" this censorship?

The company owns the computer and has a right to impose any restrictions they wish. Access email from your own computer. If they blocked it, they are also probably monitoring for attempts to bypass the block. Is teh email access important enough to lose your job over? That is what will happen if you strart trying to compromise their security

I will not responsible if you lose your job, but you could use a proxy search to get around the restriction such as http://www.schoolsurf.org. I hope that helped.

You can't and shouldn't attempt to do so. This is not censorship...it is their way of getting what they pay for which is your attention to their buisiness not your personal business. While at work you have to follow their rules as you are their guest. Use the phone if you need to communicate. At home you may do as you please.
