I might leave the U.S. to go to another country and never come back, and I'm worried how my best friend will take the news. I wanted to give her something very special to make her remember me even if I am not by her side anymore...What gift should i give her?

May I suggest a music box. You may even give something of yourself, if you can knit or crochet. Then I would suggest either a scarf or if you have enough time, then a blanket or a shawl to throw around her shoulders to keep her warm.

Maybe a great framed picture of the two of you, along w/ a necklace or bracelet she can wear to help her feel you're with her, even though on the other side of the world?

give her a picture frame with a picture of the 2 of you in it.....and have one for you too. you will never forget them with a picture and you will always treasure the moment

a necklace, or a bracelet, or a ring. simple but cute. something that will match any outfit. you dont want to make it such a big deal though, so something simple.
