i my period is a few days late and i took the test today and it came up positive right away. how correct is this? could the test predict pregnancy 3 days after your period is due????

It depends on what test you took but the EPT test can tell you I believe the very next day after you have missed your period.
To be 100% I would suggest making a dr appt and have them check for you.

Some tests can even tell 5 days BEFORE your period is due. You're pregnant. Time to call and set up your first prenatal appointment, but don't be surprised if they don't see you until you're at least 8 weeks along (at this point you're considered 4 weeks). I test can detect your period as early 5-7 days before your period is due. Most of the time they are correct and if your period normally comes like clock work and you are late then nine times out of ten you are pregnant. The most accurate way of finding out is going to the doctor.

pretty accurate! most HPT's can detect even b4 ur due, the next step is going to the dr's, they'll talk to u about how u feel if u are pregnant and stuff, they'll also take a blood test to be sure u are and how far along (its a rough estimate by measuring the pregnancy hormone levels in ur blood) good luck and get used to blood tests coz if u definatly are pregnant theres heaps more to come lol

False positives are not very common... a false negative is more likely to happen. So whenever you get any positive (slight or not) you are MOST likely pregnant. I would schedule an appointment with your doctor to get affirmation.. but as far as I'm concerned.. Congrats Mama!

congrats....the sam ething happened to me...i thought i might be because my period was a few days late and then i took a test and as soon as i pulled it out of the stream or urine it was already positive...that didn't even happen for my first one..but this one was like yelling at me "you're pregnant!!!" ...so congrats

oh yah it can tell you the day you miss or even 5 days b4 your missed period if you buy the more expensive ones i always bought the cheapest and they all showed up right away some people get alot of hormones fast your pregnant!!!! congrats

Wow!! Lucky! im so jealous. well congrats yes i believe that your test is acurate and i think you should consider your self pregnant if your still unsure go to the doctor and take a blood test there. again congrats!!

If it came back positive you are pregnant. Your levels are obviously high enough to detect the pregnancy hormone in your urine. It's highly unlikely that it would come back with a false positive.
