metaphor, similies use like or as

It is neither, it is just an exageration. Similes use "like" or "as". An example of a metaphor would be like "The moon was a ghostly galleon tossed upon cloudy seas". The moon, a big rock floating around the earth is being compared to a wooden ship. The sky and the clouds are being compared to a flat ocean or sea. An example of a simile would be "The girl was like a blue rose in the middle of a room full of daisies". The difference between the two in my words are: A simile is like describing a situation in your own words that creates an image, and a metaphor is like telling a reader or something that one thing, really is another. Hope I helped

Neither.
A simile would be "I ate so much pizza, I felt as stuffed as a pinata"
A metaphor would be something like "I am a pig because I ate a whole pizza.

Similes compare a subject to another subject while a metaphor equates two subjects.

neither.

A metaphor compares one thing to another like: Love is bliss

A simile compares two things using the terms like or as:

The grass was as green as an emerald.
Your example is just a statement or an exaggeration.

Because your sentence doesn't compare anything, it is neither.

Metaphor: Compares something without using like or as.
(You ARE a stick because you're so skinny.)

Simile: Compares something using like or as.
(You are LIKE a stick because you're so skinny.)
