Boy and girl names. What were some trends/popular names back then?

I am not very much sure about but as far as I could guess from books/grandparents/in-laws etc, they would be:

for boys
names ending with "rou"(郎)
i.e. Shouichirou, Reijirou, Hidesaburou etc
long and comprecated names

for girls
names ending with "ko"(子)
i.e. Yukiko, Kikuko, Haruko etc
short and simple names
