I usually have really rough periods. Like over the toilet vomitting and diareaha. And usually I can get by pretty fine. But for some reason this period makes me feel completely drained. I had mono last year and it feels like that. Ive not done much all day, but everytime i eat, i feel like throwing up and when i get upset on the phone or something, i cant stay angry because it feels like all of my energy has been zapped from me. Its terrible. What could the problem be? I usually maintain a healthy diet and take vitamens. I excercise often but it has been cut short for the past few months due to a broken foot. My last period wasnt that bad. It definitely didnt drain me like this one.

I also get very very tired with my period, you do lose a lot of blood each month so it isn't surprising. You may benefit from increasing your iron intake through diet or a supplement. Talk to your doctor if concerned about that. And I do the healthy diet/exercise thing too, it doesn't make much difference at period time. Try to go easy on yourself and get more rest at that time if you can.

Me too my hormones wreak havoc on my body. I just try to eat alot of fruits and wait for the damn thing to pass. I had to miss school today due to no energy at all. You might also want to see if you are anemic or not because if you are the periods will do that to you.
