the only one that is hurting is you. The fact is he's not going to hurt himself he is just saying that to manipulating you in to staying. If you DO stay he might hurt you. This is proof that he is mentally unstable… but this is your choice, not my choice. But if it was me I WOULD LEAVE… and NO, you shouldn't feel guilty.

You shouldn't feel guilty if you want to leave him . Those are his feelings and not yours . You have to deal with your pain and not his in order for you to get better . It will painful for you as well and you have to care of # 1 and that is you . Good luck and God Bless

that is not your responsibility. if you are that worried about it, get a family member to watch him. his mental problems should not chain you to him. and i am not going to say he is bluffing because i am guilty of trying to kill myself once when i broke up with someone. actually twice. and i never said to him that i will hurt myself if he left, it just happened. i was mentally ill. i know, it's pathetic, but i thought my life was over. obviously i know that isn't true now, and it was actually a good thing we broke up because it stopped my long chain of drug use (eventually) and i stopped being so depressed. kind of. not as bad as it used to be. but he doesn't know i did it, and he never will. no one does. anyway, what i'm trying to say is that its about him, not you. it has nothing to do with you. so you shouldn't feel guilty. but you should make sure that he is protected if you are that concerned.

No, you shouldn't feel guilty. The fact that he might hurt himself is proof that he is mentally unstable. He needs to seek help. You shouldn't waste your life being unhappy because of him.

You can't stop your life and remain somewhere you are unhappy in fear that he might hurt himself. He seriously needs to seek some help if he thinks that way. But don't hurt yourself by staying.

should you? um why would he hurt himself if you leave?
try to get him some family or professional help if you can.
dunno if you should feel 'guilt' but you might feel 'indirectly responsible' good luck with that. peace

That is guilt he placing on you so that you will stay. He is responsible for his actions not you. If you want to or need to leave, then do it.
