My name is Nichole, but my dad always called me Nichola...when my friends heard this (sometime late in elementary school or early junior high) they started calling me Ricola, like that really annoying commerical? It was awful, I hated it so much.
I like the name Elexa, though I like Alexis more (maybe that's just because it's my neice's name), but I'm a believer in only giving kids one middle name, unless they're REALLY short names. A name like that is going to lead to lots of comments of "that name's bigger than you are!" and other things that are going to drive your daughter crazy, and make her curse the day you ever thought up such an "awful" name...
but hey, she's your kid, name her what you want, who cares what we think?!?

That's a bit of a tongue twister. Your daughter might hate you while learning to write her name. :) Some of my personal favorite girls' names are Tiffanie Leigh, Audrey Kathleen, Avery Kristine, and Jocelyn Lindsay. I'm guessing the name you chose has a personal significance to you and your family-and it's very unusual.
