The guy at the fyi store told my mom that ipods and mp3 players were the same when she was seeking out my christmas gift. She bought me an mp3 player and an itunes gift card. I haven't been able to make any sense of the web site and their lack of assistance is very discouraging. Somebody help me!

You can't. iTunes gift cards are only for iTunes, and iPods are the only MP3 player that works on iTunes. this isn't Apples fault, it is the record companies and their requirements for DRM (Digital Rights Management). If Apples had their way, they would allow everything to hook to iTunes.

I would take your other Mp3 player back and get an iPod. They rock!

you could pass to the iTunes shop and use your iTunes present card there (you need to use iTunes to open the shop after which you will have an cyber web connection to get entry to it). in case you haven't any longer have been given a iPod participant, then you will pick to pass to the iTunes Plus itemizing (click decision on the the main suitable option area menu) to get songs that get carry of as Mp3s somewhat than AAC's that in the time of basic terms play on the iPod and a pair different new gamers.

iTunes uses Apple's AAC proprietary format, and most MP3 players will not play AAC. You might be able to convert it. Look up AAC to MP3 converters on google.com.

If that is not an option you could sell the gift card and either download music for free or pay for something better than iTunes such as Napster.

Please don't follow the other guy's advice and get an iPod.

basically install Itunes on your computer by downloading it for free from www.itunes.com

once itunes is installed and running , your Itunes card can be used to purchase music thourgh itunes store - that music will download onto your computer and then you can then move it to your mp3 player

The answer would be yes you can. If you download music then you can drag it to where you want it to be or just copy and paste the song where ever you want.
