i accidentally downloaded a jpeg file from limewire, now it wont open, wont delete, cant be moved, nothing. it just sits there in my 'my music' folder. it says it's a jpeg of 65kb. i'm running xp pro. i get no error messages when i try to delete it. it just goes beck to how it was before i clicked it. i tried deleting it in safe mode, no luck. if i right click, menu doesnt even offer option to delete, or rename...go figure. i just want it to go away. any ideas?

Get rid of it as quick as you can....sounds mighty "virus-like". Limewire is full of infected files.

Go here: http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/ and download the "unlocker" programme. It is a free programme and works great for situations like yours.

Failsafe attitude to deleting them... boot up in chance-free mode. correct click on icon and bypass to houses. There you'll discover the region of the record... (what's fairly stated as once you click on the photo icon) bypass to a command on the spot and discover your record. once you do... type attrib -R -A -S -H filename then del filename in case you believe its undercover agent ware... eliminate it utilising spyware (lavasoft) -- that is loose.

Try dragging to the desktop then drag to the rubbish bin. I have done this a few times and it worked.
