this is so perplexing to me. it takes a strong, confident, loving man to love a woman this way, in a way that makes her strong and fully FEMALE and if he is disrespectful or mean he is not strong or confident OR loving. the 2 aren't the same AT ALL.

but maybe there are very few men like this. maybe i'm in lala land. i hope not!

in previous questions of mine, other ppl have said they wouldn't be dominant, it would be disrespectful....i think society/feminism/church has just really confused how things should be.....this is the NATURAL way of things, don't you think?

I agree with you.

The whole strong/dominant man=evil is the indoctrination of the femnazis and what they want society to believe.

I am married to a strong man who is a wonderful husband and father. Makes me feel secure.

Because sadly men are taught to not show any form of feminity & to "be a man" (in society's definition, engaging in macho, strong, tough guy acts). But really what makes a man is someone who can respect his woman (or man...) for who they are, not what society tells them how it should be. I'm a guy and I respect a woman who stands up for herself and doesn't give in just because she feels a man is stronger than she is. Women deserve equal rights too no matter what kind of macho, probably homophobic connotations guys say about men who support equal rights for both genders. There are men out there that respect women, its just women need to give those guys a chance instead of always going for what SEEMS good (i.e. the bad-boy jerk, the macho tough guy). In other words, Mr. Right is out there, but women focus on Mr. Right Now so much and think they can change him that the real, decent, hardworking nice guys out there who are strong and confident never get a chance.

no, you are not in lala land. there are good men out there, you just have to search for them. i agree with you 100%. it takes a strong, confident and loving man to be considered dominant. guys who disrespect their women are nothing but snakes in the grass. there are very few people like this but they are out there. you just can't give up. in today's society, i thnk guys and even some girls value sex more than stepping up and doing the right thing. it is sad but it is true. good things come to those who wait. i am sure you will find someone out there who is right for you. hope this helps. good luck.

Men were actually made with the role of being the head of the family, and the main supporter. Physically, mentally, materially, and spiritually. Women are their helpers, friends, confidant, mother of their children, lovers, and many more things. Men are to respect women, and they are not to hurt them in any way. Men are to treat women as their own bodies. I know this for a fact, because the creator of marriage, Jehovah God, had this all written down for us in the Bible.
Many Men today, don't follow what was the original responsibility of them. They do what ever they want to Women, and they misquote what the Bible really says about this.
Because of this attitude, many Women don't want Men to tell them what to do.
I for one like the fact that my Husband willingly takes charge of the Bills, and the responsibilities he was designed to do. I give him respect, and love, that he deserves, and visa versa. All of this is possible because of our Bible trained Mind, and heart.
Being respectful of each others roles also makes the sex great too. My husband can be so gentle, kind, and considerate. He treats me like a Women.
I'm telling this to you, so you will know that not all men are like what you said above. There are millions of these Men out there, you just need to know where to find them. Some of these great Men, maybe shy, nerdy, not your typical best dresser, even some could be really good looking, but judged harshly. They don't have a specific look about them. They just need to be found. You can do this by being a good Women your self, and really getting to know a Man before settling for them. Be selective, yet don't just stick to one group of Men. Look places that you never would of thought to look. A grocerie store, a book store, a religous group, or class. A library, a singles only party, etc.
They say there is someone out their for every one. I say maybe not everyone, because not all want to settle down. Don't listen to every one who says that all Men are domineering, there are many great Men out there. To these Husbands, Fathers, Teachers, Brothers, and Friends, I say thank you for being you!!!! :>)

I can see your point, but I think that if a man feels that he is the superior in the relationship there is an issue. There is one end where yes, okay the man can be macho or manly or whatever but that shouldnt mean that the woman has to do everything his way or be lower in rank in the relationship.

I don't know anyone who thinks that . . .
Where did you get that idea ?
Disrespectful people end up alone and dominate no one . . .
Perhaps you are thinking of the bad behavior of being domineering ? {which is disrespectful}
