Petroleum comes mostly from *plant* remains and takes a very long time to form. There exists a process which produces a light fuel oil and rich liquid fertilizer from varied organic waste including animal remains; it uses a mix of chemical and thermal digestion, and returns about 5 times the energy it takes to run. Economically viable large scale production is still in development.

LOL, that could work, right? I don't think people would though, because people care for their dead, but It would be a great thing to do. Then again, we probably won't need as much oil in the future.

I think we could. I mean oil is just dead skeletons of things that lived and died before we did. That is an interesting question, you get a star

No it just means there will be more global warming as there is more carbon to be released into the atmosphere for cremating them.
