...now that there are 18 DIFFERENT plans floating around from 18 different Dems trying to make a name for themselves, I ask, "Is trying to get Dems to unify like herding cats"?

I will answer your question if no one else will! Yes it is an election year and all these plans will never be unified into one because then no one could take all the credit for it.

well... we welcome people that have different opinions... and when that happens... you're going to get a lot of different ideas, plans and theories...

granted, it can make it tough to get things done at times... but it's a small price to pay, if you ask me, for being able to bring everyone to the table...

I think overall, through all the discussions, in the end, we have better plans in the end... instead of just on small group of people making the plans that are hardly even explained and universally accepted... that's been a major problem with Iraq all along under Republican leadership...

having one "decider" makes things quick and easy at times... but if the decider is wrong very much... it gets messy really quickly..

basically, to use your analogy... I would rather herd cats than lemmings near a cliff... and I think that we are often near a "cliff" as a nation

I do appreciate that you're at least paying attention to what some people are doing and saying though... just yesterday someone come on here and asked "where the Democratic plan was?"... and answer after answer was like "they don't have one"... and I was like... "uh... what?"

Yes, Herding cats is a very good analogy. I haven't studied any of them, but I wonder how many of them are Republican plans that the Democrats have pooh poohed and then changed the name on.

Here's the truth all republicans already know, the democrats plan is to get us out of Iraq, kicking and screaming republicans and all. You all know it's only a matter of time, Iraq is a failure.

at least it's not the same old strategy..."stay the course" ya that's working REALLY well!! ever hear of brainstorming? it's good to have choices, that way you can choose the best plan to put in place...

but i wouldn't expect republicans to think of that...they are too busy blindly following their president.
