It seems that lately my friends have been becoming different from me lately. I sit with them at lunch and all that they talk about is what party they were at, whose house is the best to sleep at. They never included me at these parties and that was a little aggravating. Now they are all about partying and drinking. There conversations are all about if they should get drunk before or after the dance. I have absolutely no interest in going out and getting drunk. Is there something wrong with me? Everyone says teens go through a rebellious stage, but that has never come for me? Am I weird?

No, you are not weird! It has nothing to do with developing! You are just more mature than they are. It seems that you do not need to get drunk & party to be happy with yourself.
Please do not follow in their footsteps!

My kids were the same way. YOU ARE RIGHT to not partake. A person who starts drinking around 14 has a 50% greater chance of becoming an alcoholic. Your brain and organs are not fully developed and do not handle "partying" like an adult. You are saving yourself lots of trouble by being an indivual and not succombing to peer pressure. Your parents can trust you and it is nearly impossible to get that back once lost. Keep up the good decision making and don't let your "friends" get you in trouble. I think you are the more developed one not your childish friends.

All that we accomplish or fail to accomplish with our life is the direct result of our thoughts.

So you are better than the rest and well above the average. Maintain your stature, it is highly appreciable that you are not interested in petty discussions. A vision of life for oneself is quite necessary. Remember all birds don't fly at same heights .

You are today where your thoughts have brought you; you will be tomorrow where your thoughts take you. Mind it that you are not weird, you are better and I am sure I will see you at a great professional height in your life at some time.

Absoloutly not. You are wayyy more ahead of those losers. Obviously they're just getting drunk and stuff for attention. People our age think its cool to get drunk and "break the law" but its not. After all , they're the ones killing off their own brain cells.

Never think you have to do somthing because you're friends do it. They're starving for some attention and you're smart enough not to do the same.

Good luck with those people...
ps. think about if they're really the people you want to be hanging around with.

There is nothing wrong if you don't like to party or drinking. It's just not your lifestyle and don't force or be someone you are not. This is only a phase for some people and eventually they will grow out of it.

You may be the normal one!!!! It seems that maybe they are the ones that need to grow up a little. They need to find something better to do with their time. Are they really doing this or are they just trying to sound "cool"? They need to get a life.

Stay who you are girl. Your friends are on a one way trip to STD's pregnancy, and trouble. They see Paris and Brittany acting like idiots so they think its ok. Keep your mind right, focus on school. And you can wave to your friends when they are catching the bus as you roll by in your Benz

No. You're the good one. Don't get involved in their drinking and partying. You'll end up getting hurt and in trouble.

I think you should find some better friends. You are the one that is developing more than anyone of your friends.
