I would tell her that if her mother thought the same way she did - you would be talking to yourself.

Pro-choice activists believe that women should have access to safe and legal abortion and, equally, that women should be protected from forced abortions. Some see abortion as a last resort, and focus on a number of situations where they feel abortion is a necessary option.

Pro-choice individuals often do not consider themselves "pro-abortion" because they consider abortion an issue of bodily autonomy, and find forced abortion as legally indefensible as the outlawing of abortion. Indeed, some who are pro-choice consider themselves opposed to some or all abortions on a moral basis, but believe that abortion bans imperil women's health.

Both "pro-choice" and "pro-life" are examples of political framing: they are terms which purposely try to define their philosophies in the best possible light, while by definition attempting to describe their opposition in the worst possible light ("Pro-choice" implies the alternative viewpoint is "anti-choice", while "pro-life" implies the alternative viewpoint is "pro-death" or "anti-life").

She obviously does not understand the stand she is taking, and was showing her ignorance by joking the way she did. Next time, if you can't state the facts to her, just walk away.

I would have told her I was thankful to know that she wouldn't be breeding and polluting the gene pool further.
What she did was rude and wrong and she definitely does not represent the views of the majority of pro choice people.

pssst...people like her are one reason we NEED choice ;)

I'm pro-choice, but that is only my opinion, I respect the fact you are pro-life, and no one deserves to be demeaned by such jokes. Please know that not all (if any, very, very few) pro-choice people are like that, and the girl who said that to you was apparently very immature. You should stand up to her and tell her regardless of her beliefs to keep her rude comments to herself and then just let it be.

You know what is just as bad?
When I come out to see pictures of dead babies under my wind shield wiper on my car because I have a "Mother By Choice" sticker on my car.
I think I'd rather hear the dead baby jokes than look at the pictures that some of your fellow anti-choice people carry around in their glove compartments just for me.
Who's sicker? You tell me...

I'd pray for them, she's obviously completely lost. There's not much you can do or say to someone who could joke about a thing like that except leave them in God's hands.

Ignore them and wander off. Anyone who does those things purely to try to provoke a reaction certainly isn't worth the time of day.

Pray for her. It sounds like people have treated her badly instead of showing her the love of God.

What she did was rude and crass - please don't feel that she represents all pro-choice advocates. There are people on both sides who are narrow-minded and rude, and there are people on both sides who are logical and empathetic.

I would pray for her and let her make a fool of herself. You don't need to responde to her. Just smile and walk away
