You can get computing books from any Barnes & Noble or Borders store. O'Reilly publishing has an excellent series on every computing topic under the sun. They can all be ordered from Amazon as well.

I'd go to the local bookstore and here's why...
if you just buy a random book, you have no clue if the INSIDE is any good. So browse through books at a bookstore, so you can decide.
Hey, if you then see a book that you like, and want to shop around for a used book, then WRITE down the 13 digit ISBN number, and use GOOGLE to find that book.
Of course, if you want a new book, then be a good sport and support that bookstore.

Depends on alot of things...mainly on which of the half dozen low-level and hundreds of high level languages you want to learn to program in.
As for web design, browse a local Community College or University that offers courses in that subject, and visit *their* bookstore for the books.

Any large book store like BOOKS ETC or waterstones will have them
