If guys are more competitive, then why do women seem to fight with each other more?

I find that weird. I hear of plaenty of girls that don't like to hang out with other girls because they are bitches and will stab you in the back blah blah blah.

But why don't guys do this?

It seems to me that competition is not quite like aggression. Guys want to test themselves in sports and other competitions, very often so they know how good a catch they might be for some woman. The issue here is "how do I measure up?", and it is generally supposed to be good-natured. Rarely do guys fight each other over a woman, because we are geared to looking at the pool of women in general, and often we think that one is as good as any other.

Women fighting, means that they have some serious disliking issues with each other. This is different from competition. Women don't care so much how they fare in athletic ability or smarts vis-a-vis each other. the one area where they care is competing for men, and they do this directly rather than fighting each other.

Traditionally, women wait for a guy to approach, rather than approaching him. Therefore, they don't want distrtactions of other women around them, since the guy might go to one of the other girls. Men, who traditionally have to make the initial move, are not impeded by the presence of other guys, unless several surround just one lady.

I think it's hard to answer this--very confusing little difference in men and women.

Men are more competitive in physical and mental challenges. Women are more competive with emotional issues like relationships.

Guys compete more, but they are not as verbal as women are about it. We women say things like that and guys really don't. they tend to do the one up thing, either by cars, trophies, jobs whatever it is, and instaed of talking about who they don't like they tend to just stay out of the persons way..unless they want to fight then they look for each other.

Simply in girls nature... Males such as I am are very simple creatures and lets put it that way "ouer only job is to make children" females on the other hand are more important in piological way. You see for example man live less then wlmen, I think you got the point...

Guys are more physically competitive, (strength, speed, stature, endurance, etc...). Gals are more socially competitive, (beauty, popularity, etc...).

My husband says that girls are really nasty to each other...at work he hears them calling each other nasty names. (He works in a factory.)
