I'm the same way... the only way i can get to sleep it to make sure i don't watch TV or get on the computer or anything a few hourss before bed, and i drink some hot tea called "sleepy time tea" which is really good with a little honey right before bed time.

also, don't do anything in your bed other than sleep. It helps trust me. Don't lie on it and read, or watch t.v. nothing. then your mind will start to associate the bed with sleeping, and you will fall asleep faster.

Have you darkened your room completely? If not darken and put your clock where the light won't shine on your face at all. I turn my clock away from the bed and only turn back when the alarm goes off in the morning. Also do not watch TV in bed as it will tend to wake you up.

Make sure you are not getting caffiene from any foods or drinks. So that means most pop you won't be able to drink. Clear pop is OK, No coffee, No chocolate.

No napping during the day for more than 20 minutes.

hm...iunno not nessarly stress but if something's bothering you, in you mind. like relationships with friends, bf, family. or like some big thing, death, party, skipping? (shouldn't affect you though lmao)
just try some sleeping pills i guess. that helped be a little while back when i couldn't sleep until around 4 am and woke up at 8 oh and i find watching tv puts you to sleep too, esp at night where all the channels are informercials...though the other things that are on late at night...well um...=s
or drink some dew fuel a few hours, so you get extreamly high then drop right down

Dont drink any type of caffeine in the course of the day. Dont do something that engages your mind 1/2 an hour before mattress. in case you flow to a well being keep you are able to get some tea that relaxes you and makes you actually sleepy. make certain your room temperature isnt too warm or chilly. Or each now and then nerve-racking about issues save you up conscious. Meditation tapes also worked alot for me even as i flow through sleepless sessions. in case you nonetheless won't be able to sleep, only flow do something effective quite of nerve-racking about a thanks to't sleep, so your wasted time, isn't wasted!

Try a 12 mile run followed by 1 hour on the elliptical trainer followed by a full body workout with free weights.

Then go to Lowes and buy a 50 pound bag of concrete and strap it to your back and run up and down some stairs for about an hour. That should do the trick.

Sometimes it's stress.

Sometimes just not falling asleep stresses you out and the more you think about it, the more you can't fall asleep.

My advice- don't think so much about falling asleep. Get yourself some good movies to watch and just chill. If you are lucky, you will doze off during the movies.

If your sleeplessness continues more than another few days, let your parents know and maybe see a doctor that can offer some advice.

Good night and good luck :)

This happened to me when I was 17. They ended up putting me on sleeping pills.

Before you get that drastic, try eating better. Stay away from fast foods and such. Exercising (like you mentioned) will help as well. Have you recently had a relative pass away? Get dumped by a gf? Stress could def. be the cause of it too.

Sweet dreamsssssss

How have you been unable to sleep in the past 4 nights but yet "w[oke] up early for school ( 8 AM )"?

You could be going through insomnia. I'd schedule an appointment with your doctor.

Try some sleep aids, but you might get a dependency off of them. If you want to see some light in this, try going to a sleep clinic.

As possible answers:
1.Try keeping the light on
2.Drink a few glasses of water
3."Play" with yourself
4.Go to the bathroom beforehand
5.Look at a screen that's on (Like watching T.V., playing video games, going on the computer, ect.)

You may have insomnia. I would contact a doctor imideatly. He can perscribe you with sleeping pills to get your rems back on track and help you get used to falling asleap. You should try to stay laying down with the lights off for at least 30 min before you jump back up again, though.
