I think you mean 2/0; it is not equal to positive infinity, because infinity is a concept and not a real number.

Infinity involves limits, and not even

lim (2/x) is equal to infinity (the limit doesn't exist).
x -> infinity

0 divided by anything is just 0. Consider: what is half of nothing? Still just nothing.

2/0, though is positive infinity, because 0 goes into 2 an infinite number of times.
