It has to do with right of way, normally the electric company has right of way to work on lines and poles, however, it is totally unacceptable for the Electric company workers to trash your garden UNLESS the garden is in the right of way.

You should complain to their working foreman, take pictures, and call and ask the electric company. You will want the part of electric company that is generally called Line or transmission section and talk to the person in charge of that project, as a rule these people will take time for you to to totally understand their reasons and perhaps you have the only property that they have the legal right to get to the lines.

I agree with planting a thorny bush in the way! I suggest a Spanish bayonet. My mom used them under my brothers bedroom window to keep him from sneaking out! It worked!!

Out of respect if they enter someones yard they should have respect. Appears they haven't so protect your garden.

Have you tried speaking to the workers nicely. They may be cooperative. If not contact the utility company they work for and complain. Tell them you don't mind them in your yard but you will not tolerate damage to your property.

in the states i have lived in- we were required to allow utility workers into our yards if there were utilities there- which there always are... try planting big thorny blackberry briars around your yard's perimiter- it should get their attention AND attract some nice feathered visitors you would enjoy!

a no tresspassing sign will do no good- they have iminent domain... the right to be there...

This aint a communist society yet. They need to have procured a 'right of way' before they come onto your property. If they have not, then seek out the local code inspector and inform him of their trespass. If that dont work let me 1st rec. a rotwieler 2nd a scatter-gun.

To bad you cant have a dog, my 3 German Shepard's keep them out, they always call and ask permission, one time they didn't and got chewed up for it. its funny because any of the neighborhood kids can come into my back yard and play with them, they love it.

They have the right of way when it comes to the wires, If your garden is right under the lines, you might want to think about moving your garden away from the lines, so they won't mess it up......Nothing you can do..........Sorry........
