We have a wildfire here in Tennessee close to Dollywood, and they think it might be arson. Why do people do this?

God knows why people do any number of crimes.
Something careless as tossing a cirgarette out the window of your car can sometimes be all it takes to spark a major wildfire. Sadly, people don't think when they do stuff like that.

except there's a super kind of kerosene around, bypass forward and use water. Kerosene will often soak into the wood so it won't choose the flow away on the water. They have no clue what they are doing most of the time, I believe it's an accident most of the time.
