yeah the pains could be due to that, the baby could be moving itself to the right position. If they are bad pains though coming often or there all the time i would see your midwife or call her just to be on the safe side. there are various reasons for the pains and one of them is an infection. id speak to your midwife though hun.

I am no Dr. but those could be signs of the baby dropping. The baby has to drop into the pelvis in order to give birth. So I would double check with your Dr. but it sounds as if thats whats happening. My advice "WALK, WALK, WALK" it will make labor just a little tiny bit less time consuming because the baby will have dropped... and in case your water breaks you won't be able to walk anymore... so take advantage of the time now.

It is normal to have some vaginal pain as there is pressure on the cervix. Some if it may be from the baby getting is position.

Yes it could be that ... it could also be false contractions, also known as Braxton-Hicks contractions. This is just your uterus practicing for the coming labor. Pay attention to it and if it persists for a long time, gets worse or gets regular call your doctor. if you are really concerned about it call your doctor ... that is what they are there for!

Hope this helps,

Jennifer

this is the start of labor. but, it can continue for the next few weeks. find ways to keep yourself busy and occupied. call the midwife when the "pains" are constant and 3 minutes apart.
