i just moved into an older house (1980's) and id like to know what kind of garage door opener i have. my friends said ita a genie but im kind of cluesless about anything more. so if you have a genie please send me some pics of it saying something about what kind it is. i know this sounds like a weird question but well, its hard to explain. anyway thanks

i have a genie, check the rmote look inside wherw battery goes
also you will find name by takeing off plastic cover where light bulb goes ( easy job)

Usually you can see the manfacturer at the rear of the motor. You may want to write that down and the model number. Genie has an 800 technical support number and are real good at assisting you. You have various drives (screw, chain, or belt) so you may need that information when calling. Go to Genie.com and get pictures and manuals on site.

should ne a tag or sticker on the back of it with modle number and serial number if no look inside the cover
