Why is it no one likes her own name? I've never heard of a nickname for Carolyn. How about your initials. If your name were Carolyn Jackson you could go by "C J" or whatever.
I think you have a pretty name.

LOL...my name is Carolyn and I go by Carrie. I can't stand my name. Carol sounds too old to me, I'd go with Lynn.

Why name your child (or whoseever child) Carolyn if you aren't going to use it? I'd say give them from the start the name you are gonna call them. Carol, Lyn or whatever you prefer! :)

hey Carolyn happens to be my name, I've never really had a nickname but some ppl like to call me "carol" (which I hate) or "care" or carrie (which I don't like either) or Carley and my bf sometimes calls me "Lyn".

I would personally pick Lynn.
and it made me laugh when someone made the comment that carol reminds you of a sweet grandma cuz that is my grandmas name...and shes a sweet little grandma. idk it made me laugh.
but yeah, lynn sounds best in my opinion.
and by the way...(i hate the name carrie too. lol...no offense!!)

I like Carly...since there is a y on the name. Or Carli is cute.
Or Carlyn is also different. I like that too.
