We have become the 51st state because of inept British government's since 1951, so it is purely political and a (MAS) mutual admiration society.
Whether it be a Conservative, Labour or Liberal government nothing will change , just listen to what the leaders say and if you want more of the same then vote for them.
The choice is yours!

Bush looks at him with utter contempt, who ever gets in will bum-lick with America, we should be more to our Commonwealth Countries like Canada,S.Africa,N.Zealand,Australia,and the up and coming super power India, instead we have B.Lair running around the world doing Bush's work. its sad that the flaming left cant see past the pelosi rhetoric to understand the need for a bonafide defense against al qaeda and the fact that you imply the need for a defense as a possible sexual attraction shows you have greater issues than the understanding of terrorism..no it isnt sexual...ITS SURVIVAL liberal.
