I have a '92 S-10 blazer w/110,00 miles. I have changed the in-line fuel filter, plugs, wires, rotor & cap. It runs pretty well, accept it hesitates just a little. My truck turns over for about 5-15 seconds before it "catches", it acts like its starving for gas. Its fuel injected...so I don't touch the gas...I've put a bottle of injector cleaner in the tank as well as "dry-gas". Once it does fire over...it acts a little rough...until I drive down the road and it clears up. Any clue why?

Clean out and inspect the throttle body. I bet you will find it to be clogged with gunk or the regulator spring is broken.

I had a '95 that did the same thing. I tried all the things the other people suggested here, and even replaced the in-tank fuel pump. The problem got steadily worse. Finally, I put it on a computer analyzer and found out the problem was a bad sensor. If you have an Auto Zone store nearby, they will check it for free. Good luck.

First and foremost, the engine has a fair amount of mileage. Be sure the EGR valves is working properly. They are not suppose to open until the engine is warmed up however I've seen them open due to the vacuum control switch failing and allowing vacuum to it. Next be sure your timing chain is tight. It will have some play considering the mileage however 8 to 10 degrees and it time for a new set up. Good luck.

A 92 Blazer has a 4.3 TBI V6, used from 1988 to 1994. It sounds like you should try some dry gas, or maybe your timing chain and gear is wore out, unless it is gear to gear, their are two models. If that dont work run a compresion test.

You've done a lot to the ignition portion, what about the fuel portion? check fuel pump pressure and voltage, check fuel regulator for functionality. my bet is the fuel pump isn't pushing enough pressure.
Or, you have a wire in the wrong spot.

Sounds like the fule pressure regulator, or fuel pump.

I think your ignition timiing is slow. This will do funny things to an engine. I would do this before you tackel anything else.

well i would call the mechanic and ask him...he might know since he gets paid to do it...
