I have a Dell 1501. When I put it into sleep mode, I can't figure out how to wake it back up. I move the mouse, press keys, and nothing happens. I have to close the lid and open it again to wake it up. There's got to be a better way...

Lift the laptop screen and press the power button. It will resume to its state when you put it into stand by.
